Philosophy & Vision

Crossing Bridges is a network initiated by women between the sister cities of Nuremberg and Atlanta for people from both cities who are interested in cultural exchanges and networking in order to promote international cooperation and encourage dialog.

The Crossing Bridges network actively organizes and puts on a yearly international conference which takes place in Nuremberg and Atlanta in alternate years. Guests from other sister cities are welcome to attend in the spirit of greater cultural diversity.

The conference offers a forum where experts can exchange knowledge and experience concerning topics relevant to people in business. The focus lies in the presentation of different views from different cultures on the same topic. In addition, the supporting program offers the guests from the visiting sister city the opportunity to visit local companies and projects.

Due to the fact that the network was initiated by women, the key leadership positions in the executive committee and conference organization committee are held by women. The opening key note speech at the conference is traditionally given by a woman.
